S.T.Y.L.E - A pilot program at Day One Tech STEM

Supporting Today’s Youth with Leadership and Empowerment

The STYLE program is all about helping young people discover their potential through mentorship, skill-building, and self-expression. In our tech-inspired barbershop setting, kids get haircuts, braids and styling services while having meaningful conversations with EDGE (Barbers/Stylist) mentors who guide them on leadership, confidence, and life skills.Each student will have access to on-site mentoring while they wait for their STYLE, with caring VIBE mentors who serve as positive role models, offering guidance, encouragement, and real-world advice.

Our VIBE Mentors will also engage kids with our onsite Technology such as Robotics, Gaming and Content Creation. After VIBE interactions, we will select a small group of kids to provide further mentorship and support services. 

Our CORE mentors will help youth set goals, build resilience, and explore new interests. Through these supportive relationships, students gain valuable insights and confidence to lead in their communities.

At STYLE, students can also explore fun tech activities like robotics, video games, and Lego projects, making it a place where style meets STEM! We aim to build confidence, encourage creativity, and foster a supportive community where youth can thrive.

The program is looking for funders and volunteer hair professionals.
