During the height of the COVID pandemic, Day One Tech STEM partnered with Rockwood Preparatory Elementary, a culturally responsive charter school in East Multnomah County, Portland, Oregon. Our goal was to ensure that children had access to quality after-school programs despite the crisis and uncertainty.

We are now back at Rockwood Prep with a new program called DOT EX. This program offers a gamified experience that combines enrichment with EXperience points and provides a safe environment for students to practice essential EXecutive function skills. 

We’re excited to continue our pilot program with Rockwood Prep into the new year, now expanding to include additional grades! Starting in the second or third week of January, we anticipate serving 2nd-5th graders.

Tentative Schedule:

• Days: Monday–Fridays
• Times: 3:00–5:30 PM
• Cost: $15 per day (partial scholarships available)

We are an afterschool program running for 4 years in East County, offering STEM-focused activities that spark imagination and self-empowerment. Our mission is to meet kids where they are—especially those traditionally underserved due to systemic inequities in race or neurological biases.

Step 4 - Please wait for our confirmation that the block is paid for and registration is accepted. 

Step 5 - Once you have paid, accepted, and confirmed, please ensure your child/children are waiting in the walking waiting area on Tuesday, the 22nd.
